TJ's rabbitAs all hallows eve quickly approaches and taps into my Celtic nature, and the leaves continue flaming and falling, Autumn shapes the edges of everything. Turning our clocks back keeps us cozy for that extra hour, but sooner darkens the moonlit sky and keeps many indoors in self-curfew. While working on my latest series of images, all black and white, I must note that it was from the slumber of dreams and nightmares that I culled and spoke some deep secrets. The past Summer was filled with so much personal and cultural change, and yet, what’s surfaced seems to have a sense of dense quiet about it, a tone that deals in a questionable gravity for me. And moving on from all this change is a daily process, rather than a projected one. Life after 40 includes much self-assessment and prideful realization. Make it or Break it! It’s a time to draw lines where knowns are obvious and keep things edgeless when seen fit. There’s magic in experiential reduction, a process of becoming the connoisseur of one’s own life.
